As either a beginner system or a backup for a pro, I think the unit is awesome for the price. No bells and whistles, just the basics with great jog wheels. I let my nieces and nephews scratch away on it, not worrying about it getting damaged. I plan on attaching guitar strap locks to it, so I can hang it around my neck and play it like a guitar. Also for best results with audio performance, one should use an external audio interface with the Discover DJ (it doesn’t include one – it’s only a controller). If one has to use their computer’s onboard audio, download ASIO4all (Windows only) for best performance. – corporation

For the price, this deck is amazing. You would think that it would only be good for a toy or for a game like DJ Hero, but it actually delivers as quite a good little DJ interface. This is my first DJ accessory, and I’m already happy with the little remixes Iv’e created. The responsiveness of the touch sensitive turntables is really sharp, and the cross fader is solid. The only thing I wish is that it had more buttons/knobs/other functions, but for the price, what do you expect. – Ampage
